If you have a Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) Gold card, DVA can pay for physiotherapy services if you require them.
If you have a DVA Specific Conditions/White card, DVA will pay for physiotherapy services, provided under DVA arrangements, if they are required because of an accepted war or service caused injury or disease.
In both cases, you will require a referral from your GP or hospital. Referrals remain active for 12 months from the date of referral, and cannot overlap from one 12 month period to the next.
If you are a Veterans' Affairs client and have a referral from your GP for Physiotherapy Treatment, bring that along to your appointment with you.
There will be no out of pocket expenses for DVA patients. You will just need to ensure that you have a current referral which lasts up to 12 months from the date of issue.
